The Perfect Goldendoodle Puppy

Is it because they are so adorable? Well, that is part of it! Goldendoodles are a designer breed of both the Golden Retriever and Poodle, and according to statistics they are both very intelligent breeds. The Poodle comes in at #2 and the Golden Retriever at #4, which would explain why the Goldendoodle is so smart. They are not only smart, but they love to please people, and are wonderful with kids, making them a great choice as a family dog.
Because of their intelligence they catch on quickly to crate training and other common commands. We even have a few here at Platinum Goldendoodles that know sign language. Their eagerness to please people comes in as a great trait during the training process. We jokingly say all the time, that they are human like…but it’s really no joke!
They are also bred to be easy on allergies and low to non shedding, which is a great trait for any dog! There are different crosses of the Goldendoodle breed, but here at Platinum Goldendoodles, we mainly focus on F1 & F1b crosses. On occasion we do others, but this is our main cross. An F1 is simply put 50% Poodle and 50% Golden Retriever, an F1b is a Goldendoodle bred back to a Poodle. F1’s are not as curly and have more of the Teddy Bear face, where an F1b will typically have a curlier coat, and look more like a Poodle.
