Teddy Bear Goldendoodles

We have some lovely Teddy Bear Goldendoodle puppies ready for their forever homes! At Platinum Goldies, we work hard to make sure that all our puppies are healthy, beautiful, and good natured. So what’s special about a Teddy Bear Goldendoodle?

All Goldendoodles are the result of breeding a Golden Retriever with a Poodle. These designer dogs have the intelligence and non-shedding coat of a Poodle, plus the friendly laid-back temperament of a Golden Retriever.

Teddy Bear Goldendoodles are the offspring of a Poodle and a particular variety of Golden Retriever: the English Cream Golden Retriever. English Cream Golden Retrievers have pale fur, but they’re the same breed of dog as the redheads and blonds of the Golden Retriever family. This means that they still have the great temperament of a Golden Retriever.

Why are they called English? Not because they’re always from England, but they often are. According to dog expert Adrienne Janet Farricelli, American Golden retrievers are generally descended from English Golden Retrievers. Over the years, the Golden Retriever lines that stayed in England developed a slightly different look from the American lines.

They tend to have shorter, darker noses, a boxier head, rounder eyes, shorter ears, and a heftier frame. Mix those characteristics with a Poodle’s curly coat and you end up with a dog who looks… well, a bit like a teddy bear.

Platinum Goldie’s Goldendoodle puppies are all hand-raised on our farm and socialized with other animals and with children. This upbringing, combined with the genetic tendencies of the breed, result in dogs who make great family companions. They’re affectionate, they shed little if at all so they’re less likely to provoke allergies, and they’re easy to train.

The cuties in the photo above are all ready to go home with you! Call us now and let us help you find just the right Teddy Bear Goldendoodle for you and your family.
